Jason Bell

     Jason Bell's career has exposed him to many different aspects of the music world.  He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis in piano performance. 
Currently he works around Memphis as a musician, and teaches piano to students of all ages. 
      Jason has been involved with numerous shows in musical theater in Memphis and Nashville.  Jason has also performed in England, France, Canada, Grand Cayman Islands,and numerous other states.

Paula Darnell

     Paula has been teaching piano in the Memphis area for 14 years.  After five years teaching class piano for the Memphis City Schools, she teaches private lessons at Bartlett Music Academy.  A certified Musikgarten teacher for 10 years, Paula also teaches music at several daycare centers in the area. 

     When she isn't teaching, Paula plays keyboard at Crossroads Baptist Church in Arlington.  She's also a member of the Greater Memphis Music Teacher Association.

    Paula enjoys teaching piano to all ages, from 4 years old to 94 years young.  She loves helping students learn how to reach their potential and enjoy the learning process at the same time.

 

Czenzie O. Smith

     Czenzie O. Smith believes everyone has the capacity to enjoy and make music. In the fall of 2002, she opened a music studio to teach students from ages 6 to adults. 

      Ms. Smith attended the University of Memphis from August 1972 to December 1977 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Music Education.

"My approach to teaching piano is comprehensive including reading notes and teaching techniques. I use everything from written music to prerecorded songs that the student plays along in a relaxed atmosphere."

    

Sandy Triplett

     Sandy has been teaching in the Memphis area for over 22 years.  She is a member and served as president to many of the local teachers' groups.  Currently she is serving as president of the Tennessee Music Teachers Association, which is associated with the National Music Teachers Association. 

      Mrs. Triplett has a studio with over 50 students.  Many of her students have been involved in competitions, festivals, and programs, and received superior ratings and prizes. 
Her studio is not limited to younger students: she has taught students who were 72 years young and today are playing music of their choice. 
      Her passion for teaching has not diminished through the years; it has only increased with the development of each student.

Of RMM, Sandy says, "I find teaching these classes to be a wonderful way for adults to begin their journey.  It has a strong learning base for students to build their musical knowledge and have a really FUN time playing the piano."

 

Joe Utsey

     Joe's musical experience includes years as a band director, manager of Amro's digital piano department, and woodwind instructor.  He is a charter member of the RMM instructor crew while teaching privately and working full-time in Amro print department.

Joe is also the executive director of Play It Again Memphis.
